Canex Awards: Sapphire Medical Clinics named the Canex ‘Best Medicinal Cannabis Clinic in the UK’

Published: 29/12/2020

Following a tumultuous year, Sapphire Medical Clinics is pleased to announce that it has been chosen as the winner of the inaugural ‘Best Medicinal Cannabis Clinic in the UK’ Award by the UK’s largest CBD and cannabis media platform, Canex.

While 2020 has been challenging, our aims haven’t changed. Our team has been working around the clock to provide support and safe access for patients who may benefit from the potential of medical cannabis products.

We made headlines when, in October, Sapphire became the first medical cannabis clinic in the country to offer more affordable UK-manufactured medical cannabis products.

Our aim is to make it easier and more affordable for people to access the medications that works for them. It has recently been estimated that around 1.4 million people in the UK are currently forced to access their medicines from unreliable black-market sources. We are committed to ensuring that all patients have safe access to the most appropriate treatment for their condition.

Sapphire’s Managing Director Mikael Sodergren said: “We are delighted to receive the Canex Award for ‘Best Medicinal Cannabis Clinic in the UK’ on behalf of our staff and patients.

“We place great emphasis on providing data-driven and evidence-based individualised patient treatment, and we are pleased this has been recognised through this prestigious award.

“We have spent the last year building the UK Medical Cannabis Registry, which we can now offer to all our patients for free allowing them to monitor many different aspects of their symptoms on medical cannabis treatment.

“We have also built a fantastic free educational resource in the Sapphire Institute for Medical Cannabis Education for patients, the public and healthcare professionals to learn more about specific aspects of cannabis-based medicine treatment.

“The overwhelmingly positive patient feedback is what drives the clinical team to provide such a comprehensive service, and we are looking forward to successfully treating many more patients over the coming year.”

In 2021, Sapphire Medical Clinics will continue our dedication to educate the public and medical community in order to progress access to medical cannabis further.
